A lesser known side of B.C. is her acoustic music. A skilled vocal writer and arranger, her main emphasis in acoustic format is on expressive layering, both for the vocals and accompanying instruments. These tracks are a fine example of these techniques.

 

B.C. performs all of the vocals on the tracks, save for the soprano vocals on A Long Way, which features Margaret Cliver. All instruments are played by her as well, except keyboards on Chinatown Rain, which features Eric Kallins as the keyboardist.
